Color & cut class model Barbie came to us with extremely
over processed hair. She goes to salons, and does it
herself. Her passion is being at the beach and
fishing.... The challenge... create a natural blonde,
and get the color to hold!
I put Barbie's natural color, (lightest brown) from her
nape to her occipital bone. This would lay the
foundation for the contrast needed. Then I high lighted
her with decolorizer, low lighted her with a medium
blonde and her base color. She was later toned with the
lightest of neutral blonde glazes. We then did a 4 step
deep conditioner, the 5th step remained in her hair.
Barbie wanted to keep her length, but the ends had to
go, so her cut was fresh long layers, with a face frame.
We sent her home with sulfate free shampoo, a spray
leave in conditioner, a cream conditioner she could use
as a styling aid, directions how to properly shampoo
her hair, and lots of info on how to protect her hair
from the sun and salt water...
6 weeks later she was back for a partial high light,
and we were all delighted to see some of her
dimensional color still in the hairl... Good job
Barbie!
